- I have a Lexmark z611 that's printing very streaky documents. I thought maybe the ink cartiridge needed to be replaced, even though the ink level monitor still said I had about 1/4 of the ink left. A new ink cartridge didn't solve the problem, so I tried to clean the print heads using the 'clean' function. The test page came back with some lines perfectly clear and solid, others exceptionally streaky. I've cleaned 5-6 times in the past 2 days, and the problem is not improving. Any suggestions?
- I picked up an old Lexmark 3200 Color Jetprinter. I only use a color printer very occasionally so I didn't want to spend much. It powers up OK, and I managed to find an XP driver that seems to work fine, the printer is in the control panel and all seems well. The only slight problem is no printing! Plain text and test prints come out completely blank, and when I tried a test image which has grey and colour scales all I got was a bit of grey streaking.
