lexmark related FAQ- I just bought the Lexmark E120 today. Salesman didn't tell me the USB cord needed to be bought separately, so I've used the cord from my LaCie HDD to connect it to my PC. Installation CD wouldn't work, so I downloaded the drivers from the Lexmark website. It seems to have installed properly, but when I try to print anything, it doesn't seem to send to the printer. When I open the Printers status, it says 'Error - Printing' or 'Error - Sent to printer'. I can print a test page using the button on the printer, but can't print one using a computer command. Could it be because of the USB connection Or can you suggest anything I can do to fix it?

- I picked up an old Lexmark 3200 Color Jetprinter cheap. It powers up OK, and I managed to find an XP driver that seems to work fine, the printer is in the control panel and all seems well. The only slight problem is no printing! Plain text and test prints come out completely blank, and when I tried a test image which has grey and colour scales all I got was a bit of grey streaking. The only thing that seems to get ink on paper is when I clean the print nozzles, I get three coloured lines, repeated. The black ink cartridge has been refilled and feels quite heavy, the colour one is fairly light. I have tried taking the cartridges out and cleaning the nozzles by hand, I am also soaking them in kitchen towels soaked in lab alcohol in case they are clogged. This has at least improved the print I get when I clean the nozzles. Do just need to get new ink cartridges, or is there another problem?

- My Lexmark printer is not printing in the right colors. Almost everything comes out green. I bought new name brand ink cartridges, but it didn't change anything. Also, sometimes it won't print at all. I just get a message that the computer cannot communicate with the printer. I did the troubleshooting, but nothing I did worked. Could the problem lie in my USB cable?
