epson related FAQ- Hi, i 'fixed' my machine by cleaning the sponges, but now the black ink won't print at all - I have cleaned the heads many times and tried to print an all black sheet in case it is an airlock. The printer is definitely using ink (its just warned me i am low after 'printing' the all black page, and the gauge thingy has dropped) - any ideas?
- Anyone with an Epson Stylus Photo R260 printer What is your experience with ink use Mine uses about twice as much yellow as the other five inks. Very costly ink cartridge and high use rates. Is this normal?
- I can't seem to work my Print Manager Software for my Epson printer in Windows XP. What can be done?
- I have an Epson R285 printer but everytime I print the ink is just swallowed up very quickly - much more than is normal! Today I just replaced ALL of my cartridges. I printed a few pages but there were streaks on them so I did a few 'head cleans' but the yellow was still not right. After about the 3rd head clean my light magenta is almost gone and my yellow is half empty! Please bear in mind that I've printed about 5 pages since changing the ink! Can anyone help or advise why this is happening I'm not using Epson genuine ink but I don't know if the problem is with the ink or with the printer itself.?
- My brother recently gave me an Epson R200 printer with an ink system fitted. He hasn't used it for a while and the inks have gone 'sludgy'. Is there any way I can flush the bottles and cartridges to refill them?
- On my Epson Stylus color 850 printer, even after using the utility for cleaning the print head, it won't print print in black ink.?
- I haven't used my Epson Stylus C84 printer for a few months. A few weeks ago I thought I would pull it out and use it again. I went and bought all new ink for it at Staples but it doesn't print. The only color that prints is the blue. Does anyone know what is wrong with it I ran it through the cleaning like 10 times and still only blue prints.?
- I've just replaced a new black ink cartridge when my Epson printer called for replacing the cartridge. But after the new ink cartridge was installed, it is still asking for a replacement. Is there a way to fix it?
- I have an Epson C62 printer, which uses both a black and a color cartridge. Recently, the color cartridge went dry and the printer stopped printing, this despite the fact that I directed the system to continue to print in black ink only. I thought the Epson would operate as long as there was ink in, at least, one of the cartridges. Am I wrong about this or is my printer defective Does the printer require that both cartridges be present, with sufficient ink in them, to operate properly?
- I am looking to try some compatible cartridges for my Epson C84. How do compatible cartridges compare with the original EPSON cartridges?
