• I have an Epson cx4900 printer and i only want to use the black cartridge, but it doesn't print without the other cartridges. Do I have to buy the 3 other cartridges?

• I just got my Epson Stylus CX8400 printer. When you turn it on to install the print cartridges, you get the 'a printer error has occurred' error where it says you have to turn off the printer. When you turn printer on, the printer squeaks for a second or two, and then you get the error message. Also, print head won't advance to the proper position to install the print cartridges. Tape was removed properly from print head unit, so that isn't it. Read the manual, went to the Epson website, went through the troubleshooting -- nothing worked.
