epson related FAQ- The Epson CX8400 is on sale, think about a new printer, but I heard about that the Epson printer does not allow you print black./white if your color ink cartridges are empty. I don't print photo at all, thankfully. Is it worth it?
- I really despise Epson for the fact that they won't allow you to print in just black text if even just one of your color cartridges run out. So I stumbled upon these Continuous Ink Systems today and they look pretty sweet. Does anyone know if they are good to get Seems like it would save a ton of money and hassle. Also, I've noticed after doing searches on these systems that there are a wide range of prices. I've seen them as low as $70 but as high as $170. Are there any particular features, or particular stores I should trust. Is there a minimum price I should be willing to spend for a quality system?
- I want to download Epson Stylus DX4050,and work with it. But where can I get the driver?
- Every time I print with my Epson Stylus Photo R1800, it is missing out lines in my text. I know it is the black ink that is the problem. I have cleaned the printheads, changed the cartridges but still no difference! Doesn anyone one know how i can solve this problem?
- I have an Epson C42UX printer which I am having problems with, the quality of my printouts are poor including horizontal lines appearing when I print in economy. I haven't used the printer in ages and have recently got a new black cartridge for it. I already have a color cartridge and both are third-party. I have used third-party cartridges before without problems. I have ran the nozzle check and head cleaning programs several times with varying results: Sometimes the black hardly prints out, and sometimes it does. This is the same for the rest of the colors.?
- My Epson dx7450 series printer won't let me print black ink. It is a full cartridge and the display says that it's full, but won't print anything black. I have tried nozzle check and head cleaning and am having to print assignments out in navy blue and other colours. i have tried black ink only and nothing seems to work. ?
- I have an Epson DX4400 all in one printer scanner. The yellow ink cartridge is empty, or not working. When I try to get the cartridge holder to go to the refill position by pressing the stop button as per the manual, it ignores the instruction and does not move to the refill position, if you hold the button down to long it just starts a head cleaning process. Any ideas as to the solution to getting the heads to the refill position manually?
- Which drivers do I download for Epson Stylus CX3810 When I'm done downloading, is there something I have to do with it to make my printer/scanner work?
- I have an Epson C62 printer, which uses both a black and a color cartridge. Recently, the color cartridge went dry and the printer stopped printing, this despite the fact that I directed the system to continue to print in black ink only. I thought the Epson would operate as long as there was ink in, at least, one of the cartridges. Am I wrong about this or is my printer defective Does the printer require that both cartridges be present, with sufficient ink in them, to operate properly?
- If an Epson ink cartridge is not used very often, how long should it be kept in the printer?
