EPSON related FAQ- I have an Epson CX5400 and my father has a CX6400 and we are both having difficulty printing. I'm very computer literate and have checked everything I know to check and regular printer maintenance options only seem to waste ink and do little to resolve the printing issues. I think the problem might be related to the fact that neither one of us uses our printer much so I believe the ink nozzles are getting clogged. If that's what this likely is, how can we clean them without going through three whole sets of new ink cartridges trying to clean them?
- Can someone tell me how to turn off colour printing in my Epson printer when printing from computer It prints everything in colour, which unnecessarily wastes my color inks. Also, any tips to prolong the life of ink cartridges?

- Does Epson cripple their printers so you can't use non-Epson print cartridges?
- I want to replace my cartridges in my Epson Stylus C90, but when I press the maintenance button, the printer head won't move to the middle. I checked the manual on the Internet but I'm not holding the button for more than three seconds or anything. and all of the cartridges are empty. Is something wrong?
- I have an Epson R220 printer. It ran out of ink and all I have in the house right now are refilled cartridges. I took the old ones out and put the new ones in but the printer won't do anything. It keeps telling me there are no cartridges in the printer, they're the wrong cartridges or the cartridges are empty. I had this problem once before and somehow figured it out and got the printer to work. But not this time. I've tried everything I can think of. Any suggestions?
- My printer won't work - I press the power button, it lights up green and then goes off and the paper button and ink button start to flash alternately. I have tried turning it off and on again, and restarting my computer. I have been through the troubleshooting actions for the C66 on the Epson website, but they have not helped. There is nothing in the way of the printer carriage - no paper jam, no foreign object. The lid on top of the cartridge carriage is fully closed (I have had a similar problem where it wouldn't quite click into place, so I have double checked this). When turning it on the printer doesn't seem to want to even try to move the carriage (like it does normally) - the green power light goes straight off and the other lights start to flash. There is plenty of paper in the feeder and all the ink cartridges are full. The computer seems to be sending the information as normal (ie when you select 'print' the printer icon appears on the task bar).?
- How come my scanned photos look really bad on my computer I have an Epson cx8400 All-in-One Printer. Is there a way to have better looking scans?
- How can I fix the vertical alignment of my Epson printer?
- I bought an Epson Sylus CX5500 last month and the good thing about the printer is that the cartridges are very cheap. Can I refill the ink cartridge with third-party ink?
