EPSON related FAQ- Although my Epson c88+ is old, the printer itself was never used. It came free with a computer. We already had a printer from an old computer so the printer sat in the box on a shelf. I recently needed the printer for sublimation ink so I set it up. The printer uses smart cartridges and sublimation ink, so there should be no reason for it to be leaking all over the place. It wasn't a big deal--a small blob here, a few dots there--but now its gotten worse. I can't print anything without the edges and random spots in the middle of the page getting covered in ink. It looks like black ink but it could be all the colors together. I opened the printer and found that there was a lot of ink leakage. I cleaned up what I could with paper towels, q-tips, etc., but it's so hard to get it all. Now I'm looking for a more definite solution.?
- I am so sick of my Epson stylus Photo R260 - any suggestions for a replacement I'd prefer any photo printer out there that isn't crazy with the ink, that works and gives great picture results.?
- I have an Epson Stylus cx3200 combined printer. Everything is connected properly, ink full, heads cleaned and nozzles checked but still nothing comes out on the paper. I've been through the book but it tells me nothing. What do I do?
- Epson Stylus DX8400 All-in-One Printer vs Hewlett Packard PhotoSmart C4180 All In One Printer / Scanner / Copier: I understand the HP is cheaper but also to be fair please could you also tell me the running costs (i.e cartridges prices etc) and the ease of usability?
- I have a Epson Stylus Color 480sxu and it prints everything except black. I just bought new ink for it. Does anyone know what the problem might be?
- I just installed a new black ink cartridge for my printer. However, when i print, the document has faded black letters and is eventually vanishing. I know that the problem lies with the ink cartridge. My printer is an Epson Stylus and my cartridge is a T038 Black.?
- I have an Epson Stylus CX5500 3-in-1 printer. After one Black ink cartridge was expended, I bought NEW GENUINE ink cartridge from Epson. But, this ink cartridge was not recognized by printer. It gave me error message, 'The installed ink cartridge is incompatible with this printer', and it asked me to replace it. However, I found that Epson printer software (status monitor) can correctly display this new ink cartridge information, including ink type, cartridge code, and production date. Another fact is that printer can still correctly recognize the old ink cartridge. I can make sure that this problem was not caused by my operation error and the new ink cartridge was not damaged. It sounds like a joke, Can anybody give me help?
- I have an Epson DX4400 all in one printer scanner. The yellow ink cartridge is empty, or not working. When I try to get the cartridge holder to go to the refill position by pressing the stop button as per the manual, it ignores the instruction and does not move to the refill position, if you hold the button down to long it just starts a head cleaning process. Any ideas as to the solution to getting the heads to the refill position manually?
- I replaced the magenta ink in my Epson printer yesterday (it's a genuine Epson ink cartridge), and ever since then my printer is refusing to print in colour. It prints everything out in black and white. I've made sure the printing settings isn't set to black ink only and I've cleaned the heads. I'm not sure what else to do.?
- Does an Epson CX6600 have a 'sponge card' My sister tells me that her Brother printer needs a new 'sponge card'. She says the sponge is used to soak up unwanted ink. My Epson CX6600 seems to flush the ink cartridges on power-up, and as the ink has to go somewhere, I assume it must have a sponge card too.?
