Would the use of refill ink or compatible cartridge void my printer's warranty?
Absolutely NOT! Federal Trade Commission - Magnusson-Moss Warranty Federal Commission Improvement Act (Subparagraph C, section 101) - regulations specifically states that "No warrantor of a consumer product may condition his written or implied warranty of such product on the consumer's using, in connection with such product, any article or service (other than article or service provided without charge under the terms of the warranty) which is identified by brand, trade or corporate name".

In-English: The manufacturer of the printer you are using cannot void the warranty on your printer because you use a cartridge or refill kit manufactured by someone other than the printer manufacturer. This prohibition includes the use of compatible cartridges, clip-ons, continuous feeding mechanisms, refill kits, ink, etc. For more information on the act, you can contact the Federal Trade Commission at (202) 326-3128 or click here to learn more.


I’ve heard that refilling your own cartridge is disastrous and messy. What exactly am I getting myself into?
Refilling your own cartridges is the most cost effective way to save dollars in your printing budget. To get an idea of whether refilling is for you, please visit our Refill Help section to view the refill instructions and/or the video corresponding with the kit for your cartridge. Generally, if the suggestions & directions are followed properly, the refill experience is positive and after a few times, becomes very practical and easy.


Do I need a special refillable cartridge to use your refill kits?
All cartridges are refillable. You can refill your own cartridges or cartridges you buy from us. Some remanufactures of refilled cartridges use filling methods that we are unfamiliar with and you may run into refilled cartridges that have been sealed/glued before being resold. We strongly recommend starting with an original OEM cartridge when refilling for the first time to ensure the highest possible success.

We suggest refilling your cartridge before it is completely dried up. If a printer cartridge is left without ink for more than couple of days, then the print-head can get clogged which may reduce the quality of results after refilling.


Can I refill my laser toner cartridge?
We do not recommend using the refill kits for toner cartridges. The most important part in the laser toner cartridge is the drum. When we remanufacture the laser toners, we always replace it with a new drum. You might also need to change other parts of your laser toner for satisfactory results. Since refilling a laser toner is a messy process and involves changing parts, we don't sell refill kits for laser toners.


Is everything included in the refill kit?
Yes, the kit contains everything needed for you to refill easily. Illustrated instructions and all necessary supplies are included in the refill kit. Our refill kits include ink bottles, syringes and a patented air balance clip that are used to balance the air inside your cartridge, assuring that ink will flow from the cartridge head immediately upon printing. How many times can I refill a cartridge?
Between 5 to 8 times. The wide variation depends on a number of factors, such as use of the inkjet cartridge (not letting the cartridge run out of ink before refilling), and the printer paper used (low quality papers causes the electric contacts on the print-head to wear out).


What is the best time to refill my cartridge? Should I print with my old cartridge until it is completely dry?
An inkjet printer works by heating a very small amount of ink, which is then jetted onto the paper. The ink cools the resistors used to heat the ink. If there is no ink, the resistors overheat and burn out. This shortens the life of the print-head. So, when the low ink warning light glows, it is time to refill or change your cartridge. Try not to let the cartridge dry out before refilling. Putting the empty cartridge a tightly sealed plastic bag will slow down the drying process. If a cartridge sits empty for more than couple of days then ink remnants in the nozzles will dry and the print-head may not function properly.


How do I know when the cartridge is empty?

• When printing, the text/images suddenly go blank or turn light.
• With some cartridges you can see inside to check for an empty cartridge or you may gently press the print-head to a damp cloth. This will show you if any ink is coming out of the cartridge.
• You can also "Print Test Page" on your printer's software settings. This will show you which color is empty.

Can I use the same ink for different cartridges? Is there such thing as universal ink?
No, different printers require different formulations. There is no such thing as a generic or universal ink that will work well in all printers and cartridges. That is why we have all these different kits available. Some inks will not perform well if used in the wrong printer and can damage your printer; this is why we ask you what kind of printer and cartridge you have and sell different kits accordingly. DO NOT use ink formulated for one printer, in another.


I can't find a refill kit for my inkjet cartridge, what should I do?
We start to sell refill kits only after they are completely tested and we are sure that our customers will be able to get satisfactory results. Sometimes it can take up to 12 months for us to provide our customers the refill kits of new cartridge models.

Some cartridge models (especially Epson and some Canon models) are designed in a way that makes it almost impossible to provide quality refilling solutions. For most of these cartridge we do carry the compatible cartridges (replacements) which are new and manufactured by third parties (other than OEMs) and fully compatible with OEMs.
