I spent a lot of time researching these kinds of AIO printers. I didn't need a fax so this worked out well. There are a lot of these kinds of printers available (I have no idea why there are so many). This unit is replacing an HP 3310 AIO POS (guess what POS means, :-) that died after about 18 months. It was a terrible printer, twice as expensive at the Canon, and very expensive to keep buying ink for it.
This is the first Canon printer I've ever owned (I work with a lot of computer equipment at work). It was a very pleasant change from my experiences with non-laserjet HP products. The software that was installed is much slimmer than HP bloatware. In addition, the software didn't seem to affect any other software on my machine, except it did change my default printer. I did know how to set up a network printer so the effort went smoothly. Printing appears to be quick and the interface (both software and hardware)-wise is nice. I guess the positive reviews of the PIXMA were accurate.
All in all, I like it! I've worked with so much hardware over the years that it's a pleasure when you can plug something in, configure it, and it works just fine (especially on a network).

I had multiple wireless printers from another vendor, and both of them had issues with Windows 7. When the laptop went to sleep and came back on, the printer was offline. I talked to their support and they said re-install, every time....insane.
This MG6120 I set up on my wifi and have never had a single issue. I've got 3 XP desktops hard wired, a work Vista laptop on wifi and my wife's windows 7 on wifi usually and every one prints like a champ. I can also scan from the printer and choose which PC it loads up to. I love this printer.
I use this for docs only, and the quality is top notch. I find it cheaper to print photos on a website or at the kiosk at a store, and less hassle because I don't have to go buy ink more often etc, so I can't speak to picture printing quality at all.
I would recommend this printer to anyone needing a printer connected to your wifi network, frees your printer up from cables.
